Definition A verb is an action word. It tells what someone or something is doing. If the action is happening right now, we use the present tense. We use the "ing" form of the present tense verb when an action is going on for some time.
Example

Going through metamorphosis, the honey bee is an animal that changes dramatically from egg to adult.

Directions Write the verb"To Be" and the action verb "ing" in the chart. The first one has been done for you.
